Before buying a new door

There are a number of points you should consider before you purchase a new door, either for yourself, or if you are fitting it for a customer.

Choose a design that suits the house style, On this website there are many designs of door; from the traditional to the modern, There is also a choice of glass designs available, and our glazed doors are not offered with glass packs, so there is no need for glazing.

Ensure that you have made a note of the appropriate measurements, the height, width and depth of the frame are important, but decide by measuring, whether the frame is square and true. This will allow you to estimate how complex the fitting task will be. Buy a door that is either the right size or slightly too big.
Check both the frame and threshold for signs of wear or damage and ensure the frame is secure to the wall.

 What sizes do  doors come in?

We can obtain more sizes than any other door company. Most people think that doors only come in the sizes that they have seen in the big diy stores. There are actually many more sizes available.  Do we cut doors to size?

Due to health and safety issues we are not able to cut doors to size within our stores. However, we recommend that the door fitter cuts the door on site as many door frames are not square.

 Do we offer a fitting service?

Yes, we do have our own fitters who cover Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, West Midlands, Mid Wales, Hereforsshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Other areas will be considered, contact the office for more info.

 Do the pre-glazed doors come with safety glass?

Yes all our pre-glazed doors come with toughened safety glass as standard.

 can we deliver?

Yes, we are able to deliver. We use TNT for smaller orders and our own delivery vehicles on larger consignments.
